Becoming a Christian 

Are you ready to begin an exciting adventure with Jesus? If so, we would like to help you. 

We have all sinned against a holy God, but Jesus paid the price for our sins. We need a Savior because we can't get to God on our own. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him. He is and was part of the Godhead before He came to earth. We can't get to heaven without Him, but to those who become children of God, He prepares a place for us and when we die physically, we live for eternity with Him in heaven. 

Are you ready to recognize that you have sinned against God? Ask Jesus to forgive you of all your sins. We have all sinned in thought, word, and deed. Romans 3:23 says "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Salvation is a free gift. We can't earn it by our good works. Romans 6:23 says "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." and Ephesians 2:5 says "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works lest anyone should boast."

Ask Jesus to forgive you for all your sins and to become your Savior. This must be heartfelt and not just a rote prayer. Nothing changes if you don't mean it. If you pray the prayer below with your whole heart, you are a new creation. Old things are passed away and all things are new. It will take time for some of your old habits to go, but some should leave right away. You are now an ambassador for the King of Kings!

Pray this prayer from your heart:

Dear Jesus,

Thank You for dying on the cross for me. I am so sorry for my sins and ask You to forgive me. I know that I must forgive all those who have hurt me and I make a choice to do so. You took my sins and I now choose You as my Lord and my Savior. Thank You, Jesus, that from this moment I have eternal life and I will spend eternity with You in heaven. Also, You are now giving me the gift of the Holy Spirit who will lead me and teach me. Thank you, Lord for your great love for me. I want to understand Your love more each day. In Your name Jesus, I pray. Amen.
